HOW CLEAN IS THE WATER?

In the 1980s the entire Liverpool south dock system was emptied of water and completely dredged. Since then the south dock system is only used for leisure and tourism and the water quality is very clean. It is well within the EU Bathing Standards and is tested on a monthly basis by our Harbour Master. The Liverpool south dock system plays host to numerous watersports including wakeboarding and waterskiiing, open water swimming, triathlon events, water polo, sailing, canoeing, rowing and many more.
